Inspired by the cult classic "Rat's Motel" by Lord Tracy, Ratz Motel was born in the heart of Kansas City when four lifelong rockers decided the glory days of loud guitars, big hair, and unforgettable anthems deserved another night on stage.

But Ratz Motel isn't your typical '80s rock tribute.

Our mission is to celebrate the incredible national touring bands that helped define the soundtrack of a generation. These artists toured the country, packed clubs and theaters, earned radio airplay, landed videos on MTV, and wrote songs that still live in the hearts of rock fans everywhere. While many scored one or two national hits, most never reached the superstar status of bands like Mötley Crüe, Metallica, Bon Jovi, or Def Leppard.

Those bands became legends.

These bands became cult favorites.

The first face you see and the last voice you'll forget. Joey checks every guest into the Motel with powerhouse vocals, contagious energy, and a stage presence that transforms every audience into part of the show.

Many fans throughout the Midwest already know Joey from Mötley Crucial and Poison Overdose, where he's spent years keeping the spirit of '80s rock alive.

Armed with blistering riffs, screaming solos, and enough attitude to melt the wallpaper, Rhaunie delivers six-string fireworks from the opening note to the final encore.

A veteran of numerous original and tribute projects, Rhaunie has performed in acclaimed tributes to Cinderella and Queensrÿche, bringing decades of experience and unmistakable guitar fire to every Ratz Motel performance.

Every great Motel needs a solid foundation, and Shawn delivers thunderous bass lines that shake the walls, rattle the floor, and keep every guest moving from beginning to end.

Rock fans may recognize Shawn from Strictly Alice, one of the Midwest's premier Alice Cooper tribute bands, as well as his current Guns N' Roses tribute project, where his unmistakable groove anchors every performance.

Steve doesn't just keep time... he drives the entire Motel.

A veteran of numerous high-profile rock projects, Steve combines precision, power, and relentless energy behind the kit. His explosive playing fuels every anthem and keeps the Ratz Motel engine running at full throttle from the first song to the final encore.
